European Languages Day!

For European Languages Day we explored Google Earth and identified Alnwick in England where we live. We then explored further afield and looked at the country France. We found out lots of information about a city called Lagny-sur-Marne which is one of Alnwick’s three European twin towns.

We enjoyed comparing lots of pictures of our special places in our town of Alnwick, as well as the special places in Lagny-Sur-Marne. We found many similarities, but also lots of differences.

We enjoyed spending time practising saying hello and goodbye in French as well as creating the French flag using red, white and blue colours!

Whilst Lagny-Sur-Marne looks like a beautiful place, we  think that our own town has lots of special places so we enjoyed constructing some of these places such as The Alnwick Castle, the Lion Bridge and the pastures!
